About The Position

Vacances Air Canada is seeking a Financial Integration Business Analyst to contribute to the design and deployment of a new booking system. This role will serve as the primary liaison between Finance, Operations, IT, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between operational platforms and financial systems. The incumbent's main mandate will be to harmonize end-to-end business processes, define integration requirements, support data and transaction flows, and ensure financial implications are accurately reflected in payment processing, revenue recognition, reconciliation, reporting, and internal control activities. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with a good understanding of financial processes, systems integration, and transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in business analysis, financial function transformation, or systems implementation.
• Solid knowledge of financial processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and performance analysis.
• Experience working with booking systems, order management systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or other transactional systems.
• Demonstrated ability to document requirements, facilitate workshops, map business processes, and support system testing and validation activities.
• Strong command and understanding of financial controls, data quality, and downstream accounting implications arising from operational transactions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the travel, hospitality, transportation, or other industries using complex booking or reservation management systems.
• Knowledge of financial planning, variance analysis, key performance indicator (KPI) development, and management reporting.
• Familiarity with content management platforms (ERP), system integrations, and reporting environments.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or digital modernization projects.
• Professional certification such as CBAP, PMP, CPA, CFA, or any equivalent certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and validate business requirements related to financial reporting, billing, profitability analysis, and key financial processes within the booking system.
• Analyze current processes and workflows, and define target processes to improve operational efficiency, financial data accuracy, decision support, and customer experience.
• Work closely with Finance teams to ensure proper processing of financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting requirements, and performance metrics.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, process maps, user stories, business rules, and test scenarios for system configuration and development teams.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, product owners, and project managers to ensure financial requirements are fully integrated into the booking system design.
• Participate in the design of integrations between the booking platform and financial systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, payment solutions, the general ledger, and reporting tools.
• Identify risks, control gaps, and compliance considerations related to financial data integrity, financial reporting accuracy, and process governance.
• Lead or support user acceptance testing by defining test cases, validating expected results, and coordinating issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Participate in data mapping, data validation, and data migration activities associated with financial structures, transactions, historical data, and reporting dimensions.
• Prepare process documentation, training materials, and communications for stakeholders to support change management and foster successful adoption of the new system.
• Provide post-implementation support to resolve process issues, monitor outcomes, and recommend continuous improvements.
