YOUR ROLE: We are seeking a highly collaborative and organized Pricing Specialist to join our Project Logistics team at CEVA Logistics. This role involves pricing, RFI, RFQ preparations, and submissions for project logistics services. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the Projects’ logistics industry, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure competitive, accurate, and timely submissions. The Pricing Specialist will work closely with sales, commercial, operations, and legal teams to develop comprehensive and compelling tender responses.

Requirements

  • Degree in logistics or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of related experience
  • Knowledge in freight rates and tariffs for various transportation modes (e.g., air, ocean, road, rail)
  • Detailed understanding of pricing strategies
  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation of proposals and quotations
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Energetic, proactive and self-driven
  • Ability to communicate industry related information to people outside of industry
  • Ability to define requirements, analyze facts, and determine relevant solutions/actions to be taken

Responsibilities

  • Review client requirements, specifications, and project scopes to ensure a comprehensive understanding of tender and or RFQ criteria.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments and other external stakeholders as necessary to gather all relevant information for the preparation of detailed, competitive offers.
  • Prepare and/or assist the Projects team to review, and finalize tender documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements, in line with the company capabilities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submissions, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to ensure closeout of any outstanding tasks, assigned to the department.
  • Assist and attend to customer demands and requirements through verbal and written correspondence.
  • Answer internal and customer enquiries on product availability, prices, delivery times, shipping terms and the status of orders so that enquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately.
  • Track and manage the progress of tender submissions, ensuring follow-up actions are completed, and any additional information requested by clients is provided promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of submitted tenders, including feedback and outcomes, for future reference and process improvements.
  • Prepare internal reports on tendering activities, success rates, and areas for improvement.
  • Analyze historical pricing data to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
  • Monitor changes in fuel costs, exchange rates, and regulatory requirements that impact pricing.
  • Manage and maintain freight rates, tariffs, and pricing agreements for diverse transportation modes.
  • Communicate pricing updates, changes, and policies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in pricing management.
