The Montreal, Quebec, Canada location is seeking skilled individuals for the position of Senior Business Finance Analyst. This is a permanent, full-time role. The incumbent will need to develop sufficient knowledge of the financial functions of the teams responsible for Shared Financial Services systems to support these teams with IT service tickets and projects during user acceptance testing.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Experience related to finance and user acceptance testing would be preferred.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of business system modules related to finance business areas and maintain an understanding of interdependencies with other modules.
  • Several years of experience with various billing or accounting systems (integrated management system or independent system, preferably SAP and JDE).
  • Experience working on various projects (project management experience is an asset).
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

  • Experience in project management is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the implications of various projects on the team, the necessary testing, potential changes to business processes, and changes to roles and responsibilities.
  • Support the manager in integrating Shared Financial Services (SFS) systems with projects impacting accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the sales and rebates accounting team.
  • Develop sufficient knowledge of the financial functions assigned within the Shared Financial Services group to support SFS teams in projects.
  • Provide technical support and demonstrate leadership to ensure business needs are met.
  • Provide system advice and recommendations to business sector managers.
  • Develop and execute user acceptance testing for various SFS departments based on IT changes or projects, and provide test results to the responsible SFS Manager.
  • Conduct regular information meetings with relevant stakeholders.
