About The Position

Citi’s Commercial Bank (“CCB”) is looking for Full-Time Analysts to join their team. The Commercial Banking division works with businesses with annual sales ranging from $10 million to more than $3 billion. The Commercial Banking Team works to find ways for clients to maximize their growth while taking full advantage of Citi’s banking products, including deposit and lending, cash management, trade, FX (foreign exchange) and capital markets solutions. The Full-Time Analyst Program aims to attract and develop top talent into the next generation of commercial banking leaders globally. The 24-month Full-time Analyst Program begins with in-depth training, combining formal instruction with hands-on experience. Ongoing training in sales, credit, product, technology, and professional skills is provided, along with mentorship from junior and senior staff. Upon completion, participants will have a strong understanding of the CCB target market, client coverage model, banker-client interactions, credit product types, the commercial loan underwriting process, and the end-to-end credit process. The program includes a 10-week training period, followed by placement within a Commercial Banking team. Analysts support clients by delivering Citi’s solutions to help them fund operations and expand globally. They conduct company research, industry analysis, financial data analysis, and financial modeling. They also support the commercial lending process for various loan types, manage client experiences, assist in deal management and client presentation preparation, and interact with various internal teams.

Requirements

  • Majoring in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
  • On track to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in December 2026 or May/June 2027
  • Obtained a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Proficient user of MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Will not require sponsorship for U.S. Work Authorization now or anytime in the future

Responsibilities

  • Conducting company research and industry analysis
  • Analyzing financial data and performing financial modeling focused on company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, and pro-forma analyses
  • Supporting the commercial lending process, which includes secured and unsecured revolving lines of credit, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, cross-border loans approved locally and extended overseas through the CCB’s global network of 26 countries
  • Taking ownership of the client experience, including partnering with Bankers and Product teams to determine which products to leverage in order to help clients achieve their goals
  • Playing a role in deal management and client presentation preparation, including creating business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client-related decks
  • Interacting with partners across the firm, including product, credit risk, in-business controls, legal, marketing, operations, risk, compliance, and technology teams
