About The Position

This position may be filled as Analyst I, II, or III depending on experience. The Revenue Assurance Analyst is responsible for protecting company revenue by analyzing, validating, and improving data and operational processes that directly impact billing accuracy. In this role, you will identify points of revenue leakage, tampering of metering and equipment, investigate the root causes of metering and billing exceptions, and detect patterns or anomalies that impact meter integrity. You will create actionable insights, develop reports for leadership, and support exception resolution through detailed data analysis and crossfunctional collaboration. This role will be closely partnered with Field Operations, AMOC and Billing teams to strengthen upstream processes. This position plays a key role in monitoring meter health, proving data integrity, and driving initiatives that reduce revenue leakage and support sustainable financial performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Analyst I: 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Analyst II: 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Analyst III: 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and operate in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Knowledge of AMI and Smart Grid network management tools.
  • Strong ability to apply broad industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; team player.
  • Ability to resolve issues by leveraging resources throughout the organization.
  • Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Developing queries, Building Power BI dashboards.
  • Ability to perform SQL queries is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform data analysis and visualization in Power BI is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot and solve problems by analyzing data from multiple sources and timelines is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage and analyze data in Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Database skills (for example, in SQL) preferred.
  • IT experience in data extract, transform and load (ETL) and/or DBA roles is preferred.
  • Data architecture skills preferred.
  • Experience with industry tools supporting enterprise data management preferred—i.e. Informatica.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics tools is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Specific knowledge of Meter Data Management Software (MDMS) preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCS preferred
  • Six Sigma certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data for problem solving to minimize meter exceptions and provide sustainable results
  • Submit reports to the relevant department heads and management
  • Find patterns and trends in the analyzed data
  • Help management and other teams draw business goals and needs
  • Formulate procedural manuals for department
  • Must be adept to learning multiple data sources to provide insightful analysis and reporting.
  • Develop strong relationships across the operations
  • Provide support to ensure data integrity of information into the MDMS system
  • Create job aids and other tools to further educate the organization on how the systems function end to end and what is needed to maintain accuracy and timeliness of bills
  • Develop reporting to allow for more real time understanding of the functioning of the meters
