About The Position

The Relationship Lending Group (RLG) is part of Goldman Sachs’ relationship-based lending business, underwriting, structuring, executing, and advising on transactions that require the firm’s capital commitment. Its transactions include unsecured and secured revolving credit facilities—including asset-based lending (ABL), borrowing base, and reserve-based lending (RBL) facilities—as well as term loans, bridge loans, delayed draw term loans, and letter of credit facilities. Work spans primary loan syndication, refinancing, amendments, secondary market purchases, and bilateral lending. The group collaborates with clients and borrowers, other banks’ syndication desks, external legal counsel, and internal teams including Investment Banking, Investment Grade Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, Legal, and Credit Risk Management. The Analyst will help execute lending transactions from inception through closing, support senior team members, and serve as a point of contact for internal partners and external counterparties. The role involves coordinating deal execution, engaging in documentation and commercial-term discussions, contributing analysis and reporting to inform portfolio and capital-allocation decisions, and identifying ways to deepen client relationships. The team is seeking a senior member with extensive Natural Resources sector knowledge to deepen its expertise and support its client franchise; the position description also specifies that it is looking for an Analyst. The role includes using new tools and technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency and enhance analysis.
