About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. As an Analyst, Technology Protection, you will have the opportunity to serve as a key member of a small, tight-knit team supporting a Senior Executive body for technology protection-related matters. You will provide expertise and new ideas to team members and senior Department of War (DoW) leaders in developing and implementing updated strategies to protect critical technology data. You will support high-ranking DoW Senior Executives and interact with other DoW Senior Executives, Flag/General Officers, and their support staffs. You will analyze and provide recommendations on issues dealing with the full spectrum of DoW technology protection-related matters, from research through capability deployment/employment. You will coordinate with technology protection community representatives on issues spanning the full capability lifecycle. You will compare, analyze and evaluate the relative merits of program activities and alternatives. You will prepare reports and briefs, summarizing formal events and commentary, requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs, systems, and activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with a willingness to submit to a polygraph.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience with or real-world exposure to a technology protection-related field or topic, i.e., intelligence, counterintelligence, security, OPSEC, cybersecurity, SCRM, industrial base protection, etc.
  • Emerging leader with a bias for action and preference for working collaboratively on small, mission-oriented teams.
  • Experience with problem framing on complex technical issues.
  • Experience in effectively prioritizing personal workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other desktop applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in leveraging AI, preferably with a working knowledge of a relevant programming language (i.e., Python, R, Ruby, Rust, Julia, etc.).
