Analyst, Supply Chain Planning (Forward Distribution)
About The Position
The Analyst, Supply Chain Planning (Forward Distribution) will assist in supply planning, inventory allocation, and forecasting support for various clients across the supply chain. The position will be responsible for executing stocking strategies that accomplish program specific goals for various clients, distribution channels, and locations. The role will oversee key metrics such as Service Levels, Parts availability, Days on Hand (DOH), and In-Stock % while minimizing Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) exposure. The analyst will directly interact with internal parties and cross-functional teams to review inventory levels, manage changes to the stocking strategy, execute life cycle strategies, and communicate/forecast inventory needs. The position will also assist in the effort to move aspects of the Forward Distribution Planning Process into new or existing Supply Chain Planning Solutions to allow for optimized inventory distribution and returns.
Requirements

- Technically proficient with various business software programs (i.e. Excel, ChatGPT, PowerPoint, SQL, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills that drive the ability to assess a variety of information, identify anomalies and errors in data, capture trends, and compile actionable recommendations
- A proven self-starter with intellectual curiosity, a passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to research and develop a clear understanding of processes and procedures related to Supply Chain
- 1-2 years of relevant education and/or experience, preferably in Supply Chain management or another technical/mathematical field
Responsibilities
- Execute stocking strategies and target inventory levels for forward stocking locations
- Resolve or escalate barriers preventing replenishment processes from moving inventory across the Asurion network in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide weekly readouts on key metrics, initiatives, and inventory performance
- Work with Demand and Supply Planning peers in the creation and maintenance of inventory and forecasting data
- Manage the deployment of inventory through the device life cycle and ensure any gaps to plan are communicated to key stakeholders
- Drive recommendations for inventory strategy adjustments to avoid stock outs and E&O exposure
- Perform daily reviews and action planning for key KPI’s across the supply chain
- Assist in the implementation, data management, and development of an advanced planning solution
- Leverage AI to optimize processes, provide analytical support, and develop new tools to drive superior performance
