About The Position

The Slot Analyst assists in and leads the development of slotting strategy processes within the fulfillment center to improve productivity, safety, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2--4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Ability to sit, walk, or stand for the duration of the shift
  • Must possess visual acuity to perform essential job functions
  • Ability to conduct physical tasks with a full range of motion throughout the warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Reduce throughput cycle time, improve safety performance, enhance order accuracy, and minimize product damage.
  • Maintain slotting strategy, policies, and procedures for the fulfillment center.
  • Meet regularly with management to propose and gain approval for slot setup changes.
  • Train management on slotting strategy and policy.
  • Establish slotting for new items; adjust and relocate SKUs based on velocity changes.
  • Monitor item velocity and adjust replenishment thresholds accordingly.
  • Coordinate with production schedules to optimize slotting and meet truck pull times.
  • Report on fulfillment center capacity levels, warehouse optimization, and utilization.
  • Utilize Manhattan WMS and Microsoft Access for slotting analysis and execution.
  • Audit and coordinate orders for shipping.
  • Generate and analyze fulfillment reports to support shipment coordination.
  • Participate in fulfillment center and supply chain projects.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to resolve slotting and order discrepancies.
  • Evaluate project deliverables for content and quality.
  • Identify roadblocks impacting deliverable timelines and recommend alternative solutions.
