About The Position

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or a related field where you've owned data products end to end
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and considering performance, grain, and correctness
  • Familiarity with the modern data stack: tools like dbt, Airflow, and Git as part of a collaborative engineering workflow
  • Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders, translating business questions into data models and explaining technical concepts without jargon
  • Data quality instincts, including validating work against source systems and checking numbers before shipping
  • Curiosity about AI and its future, with an excitement for building AI products

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex, LLM-powered analytics tools, or building conversational data experiences
  • Familiarity with Streamlit for building lightweight internal apps and dashboards
  • Exposure to Legal Operations data (matter management, legal spend, or outside counsel analytics)
  • Python experience for data pipelines, scripting, or automating reporting workflows
  • Experience designing access controls for sensitive data (privileged legal information and confidential business data)

Responsibilities

  • Build AI-powered experiences for Legal teams using Snowflake Cortex and other tools, designing and delivering conversational analytics experiences.
  • Own the full stack for AI experiences: the data layer, the logic that shapes AI knowledge, and the quality bar for trustworthiness.
  • Co-own the data foundations with Analytics Engineering, including scoping data models, translating stakeholder requirements, validating outputs, and ensuring access controls.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into working products by partnering with Legal Operations and employment counsel to understand their questions and turning them into structured data models, AI skill definitions, and dashboards.
  • Deliver actionable legal insights to stakeholders that influence decisions, such as tracking outside counsel spend, flagging expiring contracts, or analyzing task backlogs.
  • Maintain rigor as AI experiences scale by owning testing, validation, and quality checks to ensure outputs align with source systems and business definitions.
  • Contribute to access and security design by helping to design and maintain the role-based access model for sensitive Legal data, including secure views, row-level policies, and data sensitivity controls.
