About The Position

As Torani continues to grow toward our vision of reaching $1B by 2030, the importance of clear insights, reliable reporting, and strong business planning continues to grow alongside it. To support these efforts, we’re looking for a Sales Planning Analyst who can help turn data into actionable insights that improve decision-making and support sales execution across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and helping teams better understand business performance. The Sales Planning Analyst will support sales reporting, retail analytics, customer insights, and planning processes that help sales leadership make informed decisions and prioritize opportunities effectively. The most successful person in this role combines analytical thinking with strong business curiosity. They proactively identify trends, improve reporting processes, and help translate complex data into clear and actionable recommendations for the business. This role will work closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Demand Planning, and Marketing to improve visibility into performance and support strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in Sales Analytics, Sales Planning, Business Analytics, or related commercial roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into business insights
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Based in the Flavor Factory in San Leandro, CA

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CPG, foodservice, beverage or related industries preferred
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or other reporting tools preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver clear, accurate, and actionable reporting to help sales leadership understand performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions.
  • Connect data to business context to improve visibility across customers, channels, and categories.
  • Streamline and improve recurring reports and dashboards to make information easier to access and understand.
  • Make reporting more consistent, accurate, and easier to maintain, reducing manual work and increasing confidence in data usage.
  • Build and maintain reporting that highlights sales trends, distribution gains, promotional effectiveness, assortment opportunities, and customer performance.
  • Analyze retail performance to help sales teams prioritize actions and focus on high-impact opportunities.
  • Proactively identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and reporting challenges.
  • Help improve how information is maintained across systems.
  • Create more reliable and scalable ways of working through strong attention to detail and process improvement.
  • Contribute to a fun and positive work environment.
