The Risk Analyst supports various trade desks at Energy Transfer by performing business analytics and measuring exposure to commodity prices. There is opportunity to Interact with traders and senior management- assuring that pricing, hedging, and risk evaluation techniques are applied and monitored.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, accounting or related field
2-5 years of related experience
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
The Associate/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience
The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Responsibilities

Monitor, measure, and report market price risks on a daily basis relating to price-exposure from company assets and long-term contracts, wholesale physical energy transactions, inventory, and financial derivatives
Determine market-price risk positions and work with trade desks to minimize exposure
Validate end-of-day curves in the risk system and mark-to-market of forward positions
Analyze and identify P&L and position drivers of various trading books encompassing a wide array of energy commodities and financial instruments
Identifies and resolves issues on daily position and P&L reporting
Communicate and resolve risk limit breaches appropriately
Support requests from internal and external auditors
Maintain margin requirements with clearing banks
Work closely with I.T. on risk system (ETRM) improvements and testing new enhancements
Ensure exchange (ICE & CME) and regulatory (CFTC & FERC) compliance
