About The Position

Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality & Regulatory Reporting Analyst to support our Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and submitting data for federal and state quality reporting programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission. The Analyst collaborates closely with leadership and clinical departments to monitor performance metrics, identify trends, and support improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with healthcare quality, informatics, or clinical experience seeking a flexible, part-time role with high organizational impact. The role is part-time (0.5 FTE | ~20 hours per week) and is a hybrid/remote position, though some on-site presence may be required periodically. There are no call requirements. The position is anticipated to end on May 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare quality, performance improvement, or regulatory reporting required.
  • Experience with QAPI methodologies and patient safety principles required.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple reporting requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required) and reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Clinical background or informatics experience strongly preferred.
  • Current RN license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Submit required data to federal and state quality programs, including: Medicare Promoting Interoperability, MIPS, MBQIP, HCPF ACC 3.0 and HQIP, Sepsis initiatives.
  • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze quality and patient safety data.
  • Monitor and communicate performance metrics and trends.
  • Develop clear, concise reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity through validation processes.
  • Collaborate with QAPI leadership on performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement based on data trends.
  • Participate in quality-related projects and program development.
  • Work with clinical and operational departments to gather and validate data.
  • Communicate updates to regulatory requirements and reporting expectations.
  • Participate in meetings and support cross-department initiatives.
