About The Position

This position is responsible for analyzing project data, creating reports, and reporting on the performance of the Customer Care Organization. The role ensures the timely and efficient monitoring and analysis of project costs, trends, and schedules. It also assists in the execution of Customer Care processes. The Analyst will work with Customer Care Management, Investment Planning, Operations, Contract Administration, Procurement, and Materials personnel to ensure project budgets and schedules align with corporate goals. They will collaborate with Investment Planning on cost management, including tracking, forecasting, and reporting at project and program levels. The role involves tracking compliance with procedures for Key Project Decision Documents, record management, and quality control. Project analytics will be applied to describe, predict, and improve business performance. The Analyst will create project reports to recommend actions and guide decision-making based on capital program management performance improvement. Ensuring the accuracy of cost information, including proper coding and allocation to project budgets, is crucial. The position also involves creating required accounting and project cost variance reports, assisting in developing customer care processes, monitoring and reporting on project costs against budget and forecast, and evaluating trends impacting project costs or in-service dates. Progress measurement and the development/updating of progress charts are also key responsibilities, along with creating and maintaining project-level KPIs and statistics reports, and establishing new reporting formats and templates.

Requirements

  • Understands and applies financial, accounting, business, risk and project management theories and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling, accounting, risk management, project management information systems, engineering economics, capital investment analysis techniques, plant accounting, tax and capital budgeting.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze cost and scheduling information, provide forecasts, make recommendations, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated high competence in past assignments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree will be considered.
  • Three (3) plus years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience exposure to Project Manager, accountant, financial business analysts in a business involved with managing large complex multi-year projects.
  • Ability to work up to five days in the office if needed (for example: emergencies, training, or other business needs) or should the policy change.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or equivalent education highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle’s Primavera Unifier Project Controls is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project data, create reports, and report on the performance of the Customer Care Organization.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient monitoring and analysis of project costs, trends, and schedules.
  • Assist in the execution of Customer Care processes.
  • Work with Customer Care Management, Investment Planning, Operations, Contract Administration, Procurement, and Materials personnel to ensure overall consistency of project budgets and schedules are in alignment with corporate goals and strategies.
  • Work with Investment Planning to ensure cost management is being performed at the project and program levels that include cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.
  • Track Project Management compliance performance with procedures regarding Key Project Decision Documents, record management, and quality control protocols.
  • Apply project analytics to project data to describe, predict, and improve business performance.
  • Create project reports to recommend action or to guide decision making rooted in capital program management performance improvement.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all cost information including confirmation that costs have been properly coded and allocated to project budgets.
  • Create required accounting and project cost variances reports.
  • Assist as needed in developing and participating in customer care processes.
  • Monitor and report on project costs and commitment to budget and forecast.
  • Review, evaluate and report on trends and their impact on project costs or project in-service dates.
  • Assess progress measurement and develop and update progress charts for progress reporting.
  • Create and maintain project level KPIs and project statistics reports.
  • Establish new reporting formats and templates in compliance with company and external stakeholder requirements.
  • Respond to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs as part of an Emergency Restoration assignment.
