Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA a plus)
3+ years of progressive accounting or project finance experience
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Experience with project-based accounting (Percentage of Completion preferred)
Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Oracle NetSuite a plus)

Responsibilities

Lead financial planning and oversight for assigned projects, including budget creation, expense tracking, and forecasting
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
Deliver accurate, timely monthly financial reporting, highlighting key insights on project health and profitability
Partner closely with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to provide actionable financial guidance
Analyze cost variances and proactively recommend cost control strategies
Support leadership with clear, data-driven insights to improve project outcomes
Develop and maintain project cash flow forecasts
Oversee project invoicing and billing cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Monitor vendor payments and subcontractor billings to maintain financial alignment
Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets
Identify opportunities for process improvement, increasing efficiency and reducing risk
Contribute to company-wide budgeting and forecasting cycles
Provide detailed variance analysis and performance reporting
Partner with external auditors and support annual audit processes
Ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting requirements
