This role involves collaborating with project managers to develop and refine Estimates at Completion (EAC), develop and maintain detailed cash flow projections, and provide monthly and annual forecasts to leadership. The analyst will review and validate major construction contracts, contractor deliverables, and milestone/progress payment schedules. Responsibilities include overseeing financial transactions, PO commitments, and cost expenditures for effective cost control, as well as developing, validating, and reporting annual cost variances to leadership. The role also entails tracking and reporting project contingency usage and remaining balances to minimize cost overrun risk, completing monthly accruals in compliance with FERC accounting standards, and supporting project managers by maintaining the project risk register and facilitating risk review meetings. Additionally, the analyst will develop and maintain integrated project schedules, perform strategic cost and schedule analysis for capital budget planning and IRP filings, support the preparation of executive-level reports, review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor expenses, generate internal labor cost reports and analyze cost variances, initiate cost transfers and journal entries for proper cost allocation, and monitor milestones, deliverables, and dependencies. Candidates do not need to be experienced in every aspect listed but should have a strong project controls foundation and be capable of learning NV Energy systems and processes.
