About The Position

This role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational and business data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities. The analyst will develop simulations and scenario analyses to support decision-making and recommend clear action plans. Key responsibilities include developing and managing short-, medium-, and long-term production plans, aligning capacity with demand forecasts, and ensuring smooth communication for on-time delivery. The role also involves preparing for S&OP meetings, identifying and implementing process improvements, developing and monitoring KPIs, collaborating on new product launches, managing inventory levels, and presenting findings and recommendations to support strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management; supply chain management preferred.
  • 5+ years in a similar role in planning, operations, or supply chain management, with exposure to strategic issues.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and hands-on experience with Power Query and Power BI.
  • Proven experience with the S&OP process.
  • Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex data, assess business impacts, and propose tailored solutions.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, priority management, and ability to take charge in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and business data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities.
  • Develop simulations and scenario analyses to support decision-making and recommend clear action plans.
  • Develop and manage short-, medium-, and long-term production plans, taking into account lead times, demand variability, and business priorities.
  • Align capacity with demand forecasts and ensure smooth communication to support on-time delivery and volume targets.
  • Prepare for S&OP meetings by consolidating key assumptions and highlighting variances.
  • Identify and implement structural improvements, including the automation and simplification of planning processes.
  • Develop and monitor dashboards and key performance indicators to measure performance.
  • Collaborate with planning, procurement, engineering, sales, and production teams during new product launches.
  • Monitor and anticipate inventory needs. Reduce the risk of shortages and optimize inventory levels to ensure operational continuity while minimizing costs.
  • Prepare executive summaries, confidently present findings, scenarios, and recommendations, and support decisions that impact service levels, costs, capacity, and operational priorities.
