Requirements

  • HS Diploma and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • General computer skills required, including working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, as well as being an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP/LEAN systems preferred.
  • AA/BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is maintained on the production floor and in the stockroom.
  • Execute purchasing activities in support of production build schedules, planning orders in alignment with ERP/MRP requirements and issuing supplier purchase orders accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, ongoing projects, and material replacements.
  • Investigate and resolve invoicing discrepancies in coordination with Receiving as needed.
  • Support Quality Assurance by communicating with potential suppliers, gathering required documentation, and assisting with supplier qualification and inclusion on the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to align material availability with production requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement and planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Support demand planning and production scheduling activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and supplier performance.
  • Provide general materials management support, including inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support business needs and mitigate supply risk.
  • Expedite critical orders and manage shortages to minimize production disruptions.
  • Support audits (internal, customer, or regulatory) by providing purchasing and supplier documentation.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • For employees with supervisory responsibilities, ensure that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable markets
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
