About The Position

This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to develop expertise in Accounting, P&L, and reporting. The Product & Accounting Control Group (PAC) is a department that handles cash reconciliations, P&L reconciliation to sub-ledger, balance sheet substantiation, covering Fees and invoicing process, as well as general accounting, control, and reporting responsibilities. In addition, this Group prepares upper management reporting regarding Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance indicator reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Good understanding of accounting concepts and journal preparations
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and basic formulas (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc)
  • New Graduates welcome!
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with confidence and composure at all levels of the business hierarchy
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years or more of experience in a similar role & organization with exposure to the majority of points noted above is an additional asset but not required.

  • VBA/Power BI skills an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cash “Nostro”, Positions and P&L reconciliations for Global Market activities.
  • Perform Source system to Ledger reconciliations and substantiations of the General Ledger balances.
  • Oversight reviews of controls performed by partner ISPL teams.
  • Investigation and resolution of break items including journal postings to align the ledger
  • Collaboration with various departments to reach resolutions for outstanding issues
  • Assist on projects including but not limited to system upgrades, implementations, & automations.
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties and reporting as assigned.
  • Make a direct contribution to BNPP operational permanent control framework
