About The Position

The Analyst, Pricing & Contracts is responsible for the establishment, preparation, maintenance, and analysis of customer contracts and pricing documentation. This role involves making recommendations for optimal pricing decisions and executing all pricing activities, including formal RFPs, pricing, product availability, rebates, incentives, contract loads, and amendments. The position requires a cross-functional approach to ensure company policies and sales goals are met. The analyst will also assist management in gathering data, monitoring performance, and preparing financial analysis for assigned customer segments and accounts. Participation in contract and pricing preparation, administration, and customer contract activities is crucial for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The role involves opening new accounts, maintaining customer master information, and working closely with the chargeback team to monitor transactions and ensure accurate membership. Building relationships with wholesaler contracts is key for proper loading of contracts, memberships, and pricing. The analyst will prepare and communicate necessary documents for new product launches or widespread pricing changes, interact with internal and external personnel to resolve discrepancies, and review daily pricing exceptions. Evaluating methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin through pricing strategies, competitive pricing, and assessing potential pricing change impacts on customer business is a core function. Compiling and maintaining competitive and pricing data, managing the price mailbox, and updating the Contract Master File are also key responsibilities. The role supports Finance with gross-to-net calculations, resolving customer sales deductions, reporting shelf stock adjustments, and chargeback denial issues. Additionally, the analyst will assist Customer Service and the Chargeback Team with pricing-related errors, understand industry standards and Zydus policies, run sales/metrics reports, maintain customer product portals, and report/identify trends and non-compliant transactions. The ability to resolve complex issues autonomously and within a team is essential, along with performing other related duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required. Participation in industry training and special projects is also expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or related business major.
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ related work experience in the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry with a minimum of 1 year of commercial pricing and contracting experience.
  • Experience developing and customizing documents from templates.
  • Must be able to handle a large volume of transactions and maintain high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and work well within a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint skills required.
  • Analytical with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to grasp concepts and ideas quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quantitative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively prepares, monitors and executes all pricing activities (formal RFPs, pricing, product availability, rebates, incentives, contract loads, amendments etc.) using a cross-functional approach to ensure company policies and sales goals are met and maintained.
  • Assists manager in gathering data, monitoring performance and preparing financial analysis in support of assigned customer segments and accounts.
  • Participates in contract and pricing preparation, contract and pricing administration, and customer contract activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Interacts with internal and external personnel to resolve discrepancies relative to customer information.
  • Reviews daily pricing exceptions.
  • Evaluates methods to optimize price, revenue, and margin through pricing strategies and competitive pricing and potential pricing change impact on customer’s book of business.
  • Compiles and maintains relevant competitive and pricing data utilizing external sources and internal systems.
  • Maintains price Mailbox
  • Updates Contract Master File upon completion of customer agreements.
  • Assists Finance with gross-to-net calculations for accruals, with resolving customer sales deductions, with reporting material shelf stock adjustments, and with resolving chargeback denial issues.
  • Assists Customer Service and Chargeback Team with researching and resolving pricing-related errors.
  • Understands industry standards, Zydus policies, processes and business standards.
  • Runs and maintains sales/metrics reports (bid detail report).
  • Maintains customer product portals.
  • Report and identify trends and non-compliant transactions.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues both autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Perform other related duties and ad hoc responsibilities as required.
  • Participate in industry training to ensure alignment to industry standards and best practices
  • Participate in special projects as needed
