About The Position

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. This role will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing project reporting data related to the engineering, construction and commissioning of our LNG export facilities. This new position will be based in our Arlington, VA headquarters and report to the Director, Planning.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 4-years of major industrial capital project experience, particularly in Oil & Gas or Power Generation projects.
  • Three years of experience as a financial or business analyst, particularly in Oil & Gas or Power Generation projects.
  • Experience operating within Primavera P6 software.
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities to create pivot tables, graphs, charts, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers.
  • Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results.
  • Proactive nature to evolve into the next logical data set or business objective.
  • General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand a demanding, technical and complicated engineering and construction program; and the ability to communicate to a technical- and management-level audience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel per project requirements. Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies.

  • Experience with engineering and construction preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, gather, and analyze data to make insights and communicate those insights through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables and reports.
  • Organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures.
  • Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns.
  • Maintain databases and perform weekly updates to ensure accuracy.
  • Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout.
  • Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports.
  • Create business reports that provide insight into key data points.
  • Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers.
  • Support the administration of our VG’s internal P6 database.
