About The Position

The Analyst will join JLL's capital markets research team, partnering with multi-housing / Living sector business stakeholders to analyze U.S. capital markets liquidity and pricing trends, capital formation trends, and themes related to the multi-housing / Living sector and Living alternative sectors. The Analyst will report to the Director, Capital Markets Research, and will collaborate with various stakeholders across different lines and/or alternative property sectors. The Analyst will work in collaboration with a cross-functional team of property sector and business line researchers, each specializing in different commercial real estate property sectors and investment areas. This position will lead projects and initiatives that span U.S. multi-housing / Living capital markets and Living alternatives, including creating and updating capital markets research presentations, content and analysis on the overall investment market, liquidity and pricing trends, and economic themes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, real estate, or related field desired
  • One to Two years in commercial real estate analysis / finance / related field and/or relevant internship experience
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate dynamics is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
  • A focus on responsiveness and resourcefulness, as well as ability to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and manage work in a dynamic environment with senior stakeholders
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Capital Markets Research and producers across JLL’s multi-housing capital markets platform to develop bespoke research deliverables and analysis for the multi-housing market, with a focus on capital markets trends (identifying trends across top investors, debt markets, product subtypes, etc)
  • Create and maintain content for market-leading Multi-Housing Capital Markets Overview that will be presented to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Assist in maintaining best practice libraries of qualifications and case studies related to large-scale transactions across the multi-housing sector (domestically and internationally)
  • Produce and maintain property sector talking points on transactions activity and pricing trends for firm’s senior executives
  • Utilize and be a superuser of JLL’s proprietary technology products to analyze bidding and pricing data, mine and maintain lists of underbidders, and develop unique content based on the data
  • Serve as go-to for ad hoc requests related to transactions, pitches, and research reports
  • Assemble data from and develop mastery of key research resources (such as Real Capital Analytics, RealPage, ApartmentIQ, CoStar, Green Street, NCREIF, etc.)
