About The Position

This role sits within FIS's Platform and Enterprise Products organization, specifically within Sales Operations, and is responsible for further building out the enterprise product strategy. FIS aims to create an open, next-generation fintech platform that expands its solution offerings, embeddable in any application supporting clients’ financial services processes across payments, banking, wealth, and capital markets. The pricing team is central to the success of various stakeholders, supporting product and strategy teams with optimal pricing strategies for Go-To-Market success, working closely with sales to price and win deals, and assisting finance in achieving revenue and margin objectives. The pricing team is integral to the company's commercial and financial goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or other quantitative field.
  • 3 - 4+ years of Pricing experience.
  • An understanding of payments product & technology is strongly preferred.
  • A sound knowledge of pricing strategy with an emphasis on value-based concepts including economic value analysis, role of costs in pricing decisions, best practice negotiation strategies, and financial analysis including margin analysis, internal rate of return, and NPV.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Strong experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate and to adapt toward tight deadlines in a fast-paced and complex work environment.
  • Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Financial/FinTech Industry preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Excel preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL, R, Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Play a central role in the pricing decision making process for prospects and customers, focusing on the FIS Fintel (Financial Intelligence) Product suite (Fraud, KYC, ALM, Watchlist, etc.).
  • Work with cross-functional teams to guide prospective customers from pricing proposal to contract execution, including contract review and building pricing packages for Platforms Customers.
  • Develop financial models to drive decisions on the acquisition of new products, customers, and partners.
  • Utilize statistical analysis tools to generate models predicting prospect and customer profitability.
  • Develop and lead pricing strategy for the Platform Fintel business, including introduction/adjustment of pricing types and/or fees, managing profitability, and competitive industry pricing.
  • Manage pricing initiatives for existing install base customers.
  • Collaborate with relationship managers, business development, product managers, legal, contract administration, billing, and finance in the sales process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve models through robust analytics, working independently and within the team to implement initiatives while building credibility with business leaders.
  • Leverage subject-matter-experts across the organization to build and refine business cases.
