This position is responsible for analyzing and defining retail systems, processes and user needs.
Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in Information Technology.
Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Nice To Haves
Strong functional knowledge of software products used to support retail store operations.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Responsibilities
Perform and/or coordinate configuration changes for applications in the area of responsibility.
Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes and makes recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements.
Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items.
Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow; document risks and identify mitigation strategies.
Participate in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process.
Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. This includes creating process modes, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team.
Review system design plans for reasonableness and fit with the business requirements.
Provide orientation to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality.
Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
