Requirements

  • Proficient troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, IT infrastructure, hardware, software, WAN/LAN & Wireless, printing, scanning, audio-visual systems, and computing environments.
  • Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated experience delivering IT support in a professional, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business partners, vendors, and executives.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage daily tasks with strong organizational skills, accurate record-keeping, and proper documentation.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, follow established processes and policies (including environmental & safety), and contribute as an effective team member.
  • A minimum of 1+ year(s) of relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
  • Available for after-hours callouts (nights and weekends) as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with individuals both inside and outside the organization.
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of pushing, pulling lifting 10+lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with audio-visual and video conferencing systems (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex) is a plus.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and the ability to serve as a project resource.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3+ year(s) of relevant IT experience, with a focus on end-user support, digital workplace enablement, or IT services.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with business users to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities; serve as a trusted technology advisor and advocate for an exceptional end-user experience.
  • Partner with the business to evaluate, pilot, and roll out new technologies, applications, and tools that positively improve the IT user experience and advance the organization's digital transformation initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot problem areas in a timely manner, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the full support lifecycle; provide end-user assistance and escalate to the appropriate level of support when necessary.
  • Log and track all incidents and service requests using company-provided ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow); work users through a series of resolution actions, maintaining ownership of each case through completion or proper escalation.
  • Install, configure, and support computer hardware, operating systems, and applications — including PC hardware, peripherals, software, IT equipment, data room equipment, cabling, printing, and parts replacement as required.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively respond to hardware, software, WAN/LAN, and wireless inquiries by clarifying technical issues and resolving them firsthand or coordinating additional resources as necessary.
  • Keep local assigned sites informed of upcoming IT activities, changes, and known issues; collaborate with broader IT groups to stay current on enterprise-wide initiatives, problems, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain high-quality documentation and knowledge transfer materials, including solution guides, hardware installation records, project files, and cross-training resources for team members and business areas.
  • Model a strong work ethic and take the lead on a variety of support initiatives; demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a continuous-learning mindset in response to changing business requirements and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct formal and informal end-user training on the use of various applications, hardware, and collaboration tools; develop training materials to enable self-service and improve overall digital literacy across the organization.
  • Physically maneuver IT hardware as required, including servers, UPS units, and batteries.
