The Investment Services team manages all client interactions, including communicating investment views, executing instructions, providing reports, and developing relationships with prospective clients. The team's mandate includes supporting existing client relationships and business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, finance or a related field.
  • Between 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Professional presence with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high energy level.
  • Dedicated, well-organized and resourceful individual with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrates initiative and thrives in environments that require flexibility and adaptability.
  • Drafting documentation (in French and English) for current and prospective Canadian and international clients.
  • Liaising with employees based in various Canadian offices (Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary).

Nice To Haves

  • An interest in pursuing the CFA or CIM designation is preferred.
  • Experience with eVestment or Bloomberg would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the institutional investment industry would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support Investment Counsellors in the analysis and preparation of client portfolios and custom research reports.
  • Liaise with the investment management team to provide pertinent, current information on portfolio holdings to the investment services team.
  • Respond to RFIs, RFPs, and DDQs from consultants and other institutional prospective clients.
  • Ensure consultant data is provided on a regular basis.
  • Assist in customizing presentations for institutional prospects.
  • Develop performance attribution commentary and analysis for investment strategies sent to clients and prospects.
  • Support original content creation to enhance the quality of communication with clients.
  • Update institutional prospect and client collateral.
  • Create and maintain competitor intelligence profiles and landscapes.
  • Work independently and within the team on ongoing strategic initiatives.
