About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Liability Management Analyst as part of the Corporate & Investment Banking Group. The Liability Management (“LM”) team originates, structures, and executes transactions across existing investment grade and high yield corporate debt securities, such as debt tender offers, exchange offers, consent solicitations and open market repurchases. The LM team works very closely with corporate and investment banking coverage partners as well as capital markets team as product experts to provide liability management analytics and solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree with academic distinction and coursework in financial accounting, economics and corporate finance; MBA or CFA a plus

Responsibilities

  • Generate, pitch and execute balance sheet solutions for investment grade and high yield clients, including tender offers, debt exchanges, and other innovative financing alternatives
  • Support deal execution processes from model development to client pitch to transaction execution
  • Review transaction documentation, prepare marketing materials, and market liability management transactions in the global debt capital markets
  • Participate in analyzing companies and their capital structure
  • Make recommendations to clients
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Investment Banking Program
  • Review and analyze market data, valuation analyses, models, and presentations that require research, evaluation, selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Take ownership of client deliverables and coordinate with your team to execute
  • Interact with internal and external customers

  • For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required

  • Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
