About The Position

Javelin Private Capital Group (JPCG), the independent, full-service Investment Banking Advisory group of Javelin Global Commodities, is recruiting talented 2nd or 3rd year analysts to join their New York office. This role supports a growing investment banking practice, with analysts directly assisting senior bankers on financings, distressed financing, and restructuring transactions. Analysts will work on small deal teams, gain direct client and senior banker exposure, and are responsible for providing rigorous analysis to support client advice. The position requires embracing a fast-paced environment, a high level of responsibility, and a desire for growth within the team.

Requirements

• Exceptional attention to detail
• US work authorization
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
• Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution and stellar academic record
• Strong quantitative and financial statement analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and other financial information tools (e.g., Capital IQ, etc.)

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working as an Analyst within a bulge-bracket, major or boutique investment bank is preferred
• Prior experience in restructuring, leveraged finance or debt capital markets is ideal
• Financial / Management Consultants who wish to transition to investment banking

Responsibilities

• Analyze companies, industries, historical financial statements and prospective financial information
• Develop financial models, build cash flow projections and perform valuation analyses
• Organize and executing due diligence processes
• Conduct industry and company research
• Prepare presentations and other materials for JPCG and its clients
