About The Position

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking an Analyst HR Technology to play a key role in shaping and optimizing our Workday-powered HR technology platform. This role involves designing and configuring business processes, implementing technical requirements, and ensuring HR systems run smoothly and efficiently. The work directly impacts how HR services are delivered across the organization, aiming to make processes more intuitive and reliable. Responsibilities include collaborating on system upgrades, enhancements, and testing to guarantee accuracy and performance. The analyst will also develop advanced reports, dashboards, and calculated fields, while supporting integrations and data integrity. This position offers daily opportunities to solve complex problems, improve workflows, and create solutions that benefit team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of HR Systems (HCM/HRIS/HRIT) experience or 5+ years of functional HR experience
  • Strong technical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to document and configure business processes and specifications
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, macros, pivot tables) preferred
  • Exceptional time-management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • A team-first attitude
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Ability to adhere to company policies and professional standards

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Workday configuration and development experience
  • Advanced Workday training (BIRT, Studio, Report Writer, Calculated Fields) strongly preferred
