About The Position

The Global Technology FP&A team plays a key role in managing the Company’s $100M+ Information Technology budget through financial analysis and close business partnership with the Information Technology Teams in addition to the Accounting and FP&A teams. This position will have an active role in: reporting on the monthly close, assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes, and will work closely with technology partners and the accounting team to ensure the proper accounting treatment / coding for technology related projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Accounting & Finance majors) or, Economics required.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in FP&A, financial analysis or accounting position with large organization.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting principles and financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting techniques.
  • Strong communication and PowerPoint skills necessary to effectively interpret results and communicate to IT business partners.
  • Creates effective partnerships & relationships as well as the ability to align others to achieve business outcomes.
  • Professional experience effectively operating in a complex business environment with learning agility to rapidly understand and apply new concepts.
  • Strong excel skills to build financial models and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FinOps processes for cloud compute spend forecasting a plus
  • Knowledge in Accounting for cloud compute arrangements a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly IT financial results, including variance analyses and identification of risk & opportunities.
  • Support the review and classification of IT spending and internal/external labor for proper accounting treatment according to our capitalization rules along with working knowledge of cloud computing arrangements (CCA).
  • Coordinate with senior analysts and IT teams on a day to day basis by assisting with invoice and purchase order coding, contractor invoice coordination, and ensuring accurate expense and capital classification in accordance with accounting and capitalization policies.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial inputs for Accounting, including monthly IT expenditures accruals, quarterly Fixed Asset accruals.
  • Support Accounting close process through reporting for accruals, reconciliation, and fixed asset reporting.
  • Prepare internal capital labor analysis for IT projects on a quarterly basis & journal entry.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to support the consolidation of the company’s annual operating plan and quarterly forecast processes by preparing budget/forecast inputs related to capex/depreciation, restaurant level IT expenditures, Franchise support expenses, and G&A.
  • Analyze variances in IT spend, and partner with the team to understand drivers and forecast implications.
  • Coordinate to prepare monthly presentations with analysis results that will be presented to Technology Leadership Team.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned including ad hoc analysis and requests from management.
