About The Position

The Global Investment Banking division is looking to add an Analyst to the Business Management team, based in New York City. This role involves conducting market share competitive analysis, leading strategic initiatives, preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and planning, maintaining revenue and pipeline data, coordinating performance reviews, managing a Customer Relationship Management System, and assisting with conference planning and deal coordination.

Requirements

  • BS in Finance/Accounting or related fields
  • 1-2 years of experience in a financial institution
  • Must be advanced with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Dealogic, Acrobat, etc.
  • Project management mind-set and approach
  • Ability to work in a fast past and high pressure environment
  • Comfort and confidence interacting with Senior Leaders and management
  • Extremely detail oriented and analytical
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Team player

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Investment Banking product set preferred (ECM, DCM, M&A Lev Fin)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market share competitive analysis of industry sectors, markets and products and other ad-hoc analytics
  • On-going lead and for various ad-hoc strategic initiatives and internal management meetings (including business review meetings; weekly management meetings)
  • Prepare and interpret strategic & financial reports that combine all aspects of the business; many facets; including Client Profiling, Banker Productivity, Competitive Analytics, Missed Deals, Creation of bi-weekly, monthly, yearly management packs
  • Lead business development and multi-year strategic planning
  • Assist in annual budgeting and planning process
  • Weekly revenue and pipeline maintenance: work with group heads to understand sector revenue details
  • Help coordinate annual performance review process
  • Help lead, develop, and administer Customer Relationship Management System for GIB (including Call Reporting, Automation of Pipeline revenue reporting and transparency for Group Heads)
  • Assist with conference planning, donor applications
  • Coordinate deal files
  • Enforce audit/compliance matters
