Hamilton Lane, a global investment leader in the private markets sector, is seeking recent college graduates to join our Fund Investment & Managed Solutions team. The Fund Investment & Managed Solutions (“FIMS”) team identifies and reviews private equity and private credit fund managers and works with our global client base to build and manage private markets portfolios. FIMS team members conduct investment due diligence, screen new investment opportunities, contribute to private equity & private credit research reports, prepare client deliverables and work on special projects to support client servicing. Team members are exposed to the world’s best private sponsors and work alongside our leading institutional investors on a global scale. A first year FIMS Analyst will begin to develop the skills needed to assess private equity & private credit fund investment opportunities and assist in client management. They will receive exposure to private equity & private credit asset managers, called General Partners, by analyzing their private placement materials, participating in in-house meetings and site visits to their offices. They will also work directly with Client Managers on various prospect and client inquiries, pipeline calls, presentations, and portfolio development tasks. In addition to working on special projects and other company initiatives, first year Fund Investment Analysts: Perform the initial review and formulate the initial recommendation of private equity and private credit fund opportunities on a global basis; Meet fund managers and perform in depth due diligence to arrive at a final recommendation on the fund opportunity; Monitor portfolios and generate written reports on Hamilton Lane’s current fund investments through update meetings, quarterly calls, and annual meetings; Maintain a working knowledge of assigned client portfolios and the investments within these portfolios; Assist in client portfolio development including running pacing models, assisting with allocation decisions, preparing strategic plans, and reviewing quarterly reports; Respond to ad hoc prospect and client questions and special requests Develop expertise in emerging company technologies and leverage AI tools to enhance project execution and improve efficiency Second year Fund Investment Analysts will continue to build on the investment and client skills attained in their first year however, as investment acumen develops, they will assume greater ownership of initial recommendations and participate more in deal team discussions. They will oversee and review the training of first year analysts and over time will review the output of more junior analysts. They will also start to make introductions to broader pieces of the firm. Strong-performing analysts are considered for longer-term careers at Hamilton Lane, with potential for Associate promotions during or after their second year.

Requirements

  • High academic achievement: 3.0 or higher overall GPA required.
  • Majors: Demonstrated excellence in chosen majors, strong analytical talent, and keen interest in investments.
  • Language: English Fluency.
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
