About The Position

We are seeking a Trade Claims Analyst to join our finance team at our Newark, CA location. As a Trade Claims Analyst, you will ensure accurate and timely calculation, validation, and processing of rebate and deviated billing payments tied to customer contracts. You will also analyze rebate data, support compliance, and partner closely with Finance and Sales teams to strengthen accuracy, insight, and operational efficiency. This role requires you to be onsite in Newark, CA four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field — or 1–5 years of relevant experience
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, data imports)
Understanding of general accounting concepts and financial data
Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to analyze sales contracts and interpret financial information

Nice To Haves

Experience using SAP, Blacksmith Applications, or Tibersoft
Prior experience in trade claims, rebates, or similar financial operations
Experience in food manufacturing or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries

Responsibilities

Calculate, validate, and process rebate and deviated billing claims with accuracy and timeliness
Analyze customer‑provided velocity data to support claim validation and reporting
Perform reconciliations and help resolve complex data or compliance discrepancies
Partner with Sales and Customer teams to interpret contract terms for accurate rebate execution
Support rebate reporting and analytics to inform financial and business decisions
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to support DSO goals and resolve open customer issues
Develop ownership of core trade claims processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
