This role in summary Whirlpool is currently looking for a qualified candidate to serve as an Engineering Analyst, at our Ottawa, OH site. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various plat Analyst, Engineering platforms, leading initiatives to enhance cost and quality, and acting as the primary contact for all matters related to material availability and new supplier strategies to ensure the Ottawa factory operates smoothly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ years of engineering or manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead MOB / Intakes from Procurement that will impact the Ottawa Plant.
  • Review Intake and confirm the platform(s) affected
  • Understand the required changes / parts impacted by the Intake
  • Create A3 to summarize Intake, including all related information
  • Review with V&V team the requirements to certify new supplier / material change as indicated by the Intake
  • Coordinate new parts / assemblies to submit part
  • Support factory on any Fit & Function assembly line issues
  • Lead Cost and Quality initiatives
  • Own A3
  • Develop IDP and keep it updated
  • Track all activities and assure timing completion
  • Develop test plan along with V&V team
  • Get PA approval for every change being implemented
  • Keep UL File updated for all different initiatives
  • Create Plan of Action to resolve findings from CV, DV, PV builds
  • Remove barriers so the team can execute their tasks properly.
  • Focus the team on the right priorities and facilitate trade-off discussions.
  • Deploy WPD in the projects and guide the project team.
  • Assist with creating the QA Matrix
  • Gather data for specified date range from GSIR, CAL, FPY, RTY, Scrap, Supplier Quality, PEX, and Holds/Warehouse audits
  • Map internal data to external data using GSIR code and customer complaint
  • Add compiled data to QA Matrix template and based on index priority, issues are prioritized into AA, A, B and C issues
