Affirm•San Francisco, NY

About The Position

Affirm is hiring multiple Early Career Analyst I roles across its Risk & Analytics organization. Analysts will join one of several teams working across the customer and merchant lifecycle. Team placement will be determined based on candidates’ interests, experience, strengths, and business needs following a shared interview process. Potential teams include Point of Sale, Direct to Consumer/Card, Fraud, Core Analytics, Servicing and Payments, and International Expansion. Analysts use data to understand business performance, identify opportunities, and help Affirm make better decisions. Under the guidance of senior analysts and managers, they execute scoped analytical work and learn the fundamentals of consumer lending. They use SQL, Python, and modern analytical tools to optimize business strategies, monitor performance, and turn complex data into actionable insights. The role offers an opportunity to develop a strong technical foundation, learn to navigate market changes, and use modern AI tooling to solve problems efficiently. The early career program pairs analysts with a tenured Affirmer. During the first year, employees can collaborate in person three days a week from the New York City or San Francisco offices while working in a hybrid arrangement. After one year, they can remain hybrid, work remotely, or stay in an office. Affirm describes itself as a remote-first company, with most roles able to be performed from almost anywhere within the country of employment. New hires are invited to attend in-person onboarding. The role is open to candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher who expect to complete their most recent full-time degree program by August 2027 or earlier. Relevant internships or prior experience in consumer lending, fintech, or financial services are highly valued. A degree in a quantitative field is preferred. The USA base pay range for California or New York is $115,000 per year. Compensation may also include monthly health, wellness, and technology stipends, benefits, and potential equity rewards.
