Overview of the role Saputo is seeking an Analyst, Director Procurement for an existing opportunity within our organization. This will be a key member of the Procurement Team, the Procurement Analyst – Direct Procurement will be responsible for facilitating the strategic sourcing process for the ingredient & packaging category. Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Administration or Procurement related
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Procurement in food manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Proficiency in PC and business software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Ability and willingness to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience reviewing bids
  • Strong research and data-driven analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large sets of data efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to facilitate analytic discussion and review of data findings and recommendations for the project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and facilitate the internal process of ingredient & packaging approvals and code creation.
  • Timely update the departmental contract tracking system and supplier price lists.
  • Manage invoice discrepancies.
  • Follow up with the plants for updated forecasts.
  • Manage the supplier set-ups for new or existing suppliers.
  • Assist with the supply disruptions at plant levels to avoid shutdowns.
  • Collaborate with the supplier quality team, category leads, and manufacturing to reduce non-conformance incidents, resolve outstanding claims, and improve fulfillment rates.
  • Assist in the financial analysis of RFPs, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and conduct forecast exercises for Procurement objectives.
  • Create and improve KPI for new and current products to monitor their performance.
  • Follow up on sample deliveries and ensure timely availability for plant trials.
  • Reconciliate the quarterly/annually supplier rebates.
  • Develop and apply best practice processes and policies across procurement, including spend analytics, savings and initiative tracking.
