About The Position

The Data Governance & Quality Analyst supports data lineage and governance activities by helping maintain data lineage documentation, collecting information from stakeholders, and assisting with data quality and governance initiatives. This role collaborates with a globally spread out business and technology stakeholder base to ensure data flows are depicted accurately and are in conformance with organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and committed to producing high-quality work in a collaborative team environment, spread across multiple geographies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or data management roles.
  • Business Analysts with some amount of exposure to data lineage is a strong plus.
  • Basic understanding of data concepts, databases, reporting, data aggregation and visualization tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and self-learning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tracking data lineage and data governance deliverables, action items, and related activities to support the workstream objectives.
  • Gather information from business and technology stakeholders to support lineage and data governance activities.
  • Support data quality reviews by identifying data hygiene issues and assisting with issue tracking and remediation activities.
  • Help prepare presentations related to data lineage and data governance initiatives.
  • Participate in meetings, working sessions, and governance forums while capturing key actions and follow-ups.
  • Maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, lineage, and flow diagrams.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve documentation quality.
