About The Position

Oliver Wyman is a global management consultancy that works with clients across various industries including financial services, government, and non-profit organizations. The Data and Analytics (DNA) division, established in 2017, is a global team of quantitative analytics specialists who collaborate with colleagues across the firm. They work on projects in sectors such as Financial Services, Climate & Sustainability, Energy, Retail, and Transportation. The DNA team values diverse perspectives and collaborative efforts to drive innovation, fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can thrive. As a member of the DNA team, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients from day one, helping to solve complex challenges by designing analytical solutions, implementing prototypes, and assessing their effectiveness. Notable projects include developing NLP-based machine learning toolkits, modeling portfolio decarbonization strategies, optimizing promotional programs, validating GenAI chatbots, developing probability of default and loss models, identifying supply chain risks, developing next best action models, performing commercial due diligence on AI systems, implementing AI for billing discrepancies, assessing AI readiness, and restructuring pricing propositions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative discipline from a top academic program (Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Natural Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency with numbers.
  • Ability to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner to clients and colleagues.
  • Programming skills in Python or R.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and resilience in a creative and constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written).
  • Undergraduate student (Class of 2027) completing a four-year degree.
  • Valid authorization or the ability to obtain valid authorization to work in both Canada and the United States.

  • Interest and experience in private equity and private markets is a plus.
