About The Position

Our growing diversified investment banking team is seeking Analysts to join our team in Calgary, Edmonton or Winnipeg to play a key role across all aspects of transaction delivery. This role provides significant learning opportunities and increasing responsibility over time.

Requirements

  • Committed to achieving a professional designation (CPA, CBV and or CFA designation).
  • Post-secondary degree with 1+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, investment banking, corporate development, consulting, transaction advisory, or public accounting.
  • Proven track record of project execution in a similar fast-paced professional setting.
  • Strong technical finance proficiency, including knowledge of financial statements and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to execute complex deliverables on a timely basis while managing competing priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative team player that can work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of transaction documentation such as pitch books, teasers and confidential information memorandums.
  • Prepare integrated financial models to support key transaction decisions.
  • Assist in identification of potential acquisition targets, purchasers and/or investors.
  • Communicate directly with a variety of parties including clients, other advisors and transaction counterparties.
  • Assist with proactive business development and deal initiation activities.
  • Provide analytical and market research information (i.e. public company pricing multiples, industry research, etc.).
