About The Position

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Analyst, Corporate Accounting, on a permanent basis within our Finance team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK. Requirements

  • 3-6 years of progressively responsible accounting, financial analysis, or business process improvement experience.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business with a major in accounting (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Actively working towards a CPA designation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis, implementation, and optimization of accounting systems, automation initiatives, and process improvements that enhance the efficiency of Accounts Payable and Processing functions across FCL and CRS.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, business units, vendors, and consultants to evaluate current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions that align with organizational priorities.
  • Research industry best practices and emerging technologies to recommend system enhancements, improve internal controls, and support long-term strategic planning.
  • Act as the accounting lead for strategic projects, providing guidance, coordinating implementation activities, and supporting organizational change management.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and business leaders to strengthen compliance, implement audit recommendations, and ensure adherence to accounting standards, corporate policies, and internal controls.
  • Develop and deliver education, recommendations, and process guidance to business partners to improve upstream processes, reduce inefficiencies, and support timely financial operations.
