About The Position

This position is located onsite at our Tucson plant. 6220 S. Tucson Blvd, Tucson, Arizona, 85706. The role involves supporting, administering, and enhancing a large Microsoft Azure environment, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. It also includes managing and supporting on-premises Hyper-V environments, assisting with the design and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions, and participating in infrastructure planning to support growth, modernization, and edge site reliability. A key aspect of the role is developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve consistency, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational efficiency. The position also requires supporting enterprise backup and recovery platforms, participating in the design and maintenance of backup policies, restore procedures, and recovery testing, and assisting with disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives. Additionally, the role involves providing 3rd-level technical support, monitoring system performance, capacity, and availability, and participating in a rotating on-call schedule. Collaboration with Security, Network, Application, and Service Desk teams is essential, as is the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5–10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or systems administration roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including: Virtual Machines, networking, and storage; Azure Backup and/or Azure Site Recovery (or similar DR technologies); Hybrid identity and connectivity concepts.
  • Strong experience with Hyper-V virtualization, including clustered environments.
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions, preferably Cohesity (Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik acceptable).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies: Active Directory / Entra ID; DNS, DHCP, PKI; Windows Server administration.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills with demonstrated experience automating infrastructure or operational tasks.
  • Solid understanding of hybrid and multi-tier architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to balance hands-on operational work with design and improvement initiatives.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, enterprise infrastructure environment.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Ability to travel within North America as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multi-site or manufacturing environments is an asset.
  • Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or similar).
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code concepts (ARM, Bicep, Terraform – not required).
  • Exposure to Monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Exposure to Security and compliance practices in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support, administer, and enhance a large Microsoft Azure environment, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
  • Manage and support on-premises Hyper-V environments, including standalone hosts and multiple Hyper-V clusters running Windows Server 2019–2022.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with security, performance, and operational standards.
  • Participate in infrastructure planning to support growth, modernization, and edge site reliability.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve consistency, reduce manual effort, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives across Azure and on prem environments (e.g., provisioning, configuration, health checks, reporting).
  • Identify repetitive or error-prone operational tasks and propose automation opportunities.
  • Support the adoption of automation tooling and practices used by the Cloud & Edge team.
  • Support and administer enterprise backup and recovery platforms (Cohesity preferred; equivalent experience accepted).
  • Participate in the design and maintenance of backup policies, restore procedures, and recovery testing for cloud and on prem workloads.
  • Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives in collaboration with the broader infrastructure team.
  • Perform restore validation and support recovery efforts during incidents.
  • Provide 3rd-level technical support for cloud, virtualization, and backup-related issues.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; assist with trend analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support critical infrastructure outside of standard business hours.
  • Work closely with Security, Network, Application, and Service Desk teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including standards, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to build internal technical capabilities.
