About The Position

As an Analyst, Clearing Area within Inhouse Logistics, you will support daily dock and material flow activities by monitoring inbound materials, identifying shipment or inventory discrepancies, coordinating timely resolution, and helping maintain accurate records. This role is designed for a developing logistics professional with 2–4 years of related experience who can analyze issues, communicate effectively with cross-functional partners, and support stable production operations. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, dock operations, material flow, or a related supply chain function.
  • Experience identifying and resolving routine shipment, inventory, receiving, or material flow discrepancies in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. An equivalent amount relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to analyze routine operational issues, identify relevant facts, and support timely problem resolution.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documentation, system records, and inventory information for accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of logistics, receiving, inventory control, dock operations, or material flow processes in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide status updates and coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience using inventory, warehouse management, ERP, or related logistics systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate records in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Shows initiative by identifying issues, asking clarifying questions, and following through on assigned actions.
  • Collaborates effectively with warehouse, logistics, production, procurement, suppliers, and transportation partners.
  • Adapts to changing priorities and remains focused when resolving time-sensitive material flow or dock-related issues.
  • Balances multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy, documentation discipline, and attention to operational priorities.
  • Working knowledge of dock, warehouse, material handling, and manufacturing safety practices.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and support documentation accuracy, internal controls, and audit readiness related to shipping, receiving, and material handling.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, or other logistics and supply chain training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and document dock exceptions, including shipment discrepancies, damaged materials, missing parts, delayed deliveries, or misrouted items.
  • Analyze routine issues using available system data, shipment documentation, and operational input to support timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, production, suppliers, and transportation partners to resolve material flow concerns and minimize production impact.
  • Escalate complex or recurring issues to the appropriate leader or functional partner with clear facts, status, and recommended next steps.
  • Monitor inbound dock activity to help ensure materials are received, verified, and moved to the appropriate plant location in alignment with operational priorities.
  • Support prioritization of time-sensitive shipments or materials needed to prevent production delays.
  • Partner with logistics and transportation teams to track delivery delays, resolve routine routing concerns, and communicate material status updates.
  • Verify shipment documentation, packing lists, purchase orders, and system records to identify discrepancies and support accurate receiving activity.
  • Document exceptions, corrective actions, and material status updates in designated systems or tracking tools.
  • Support inventory accuracy by partnering with warehouse and logistics teams to research and resolve routine quantity, location, or condition discrepancies.
  • Provide clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders regarding exception status, shipment concerns, and material flow impacts.
  • Track exception trends, recurring issues, and resolution timing to support reporting and operational visibility.
  • Participate in basic root cause analysis and recommend practical process improvements to reduce repeat issues and improve dock efficiency.
  • Support standard work, training materials, or best-practice updates as directed by leadership.
  • Follow company safety procedures, dock operating standards, and material handling requirements.
  • Identify and communicate safety or compliance concerns related to dock activity, material condition, or receiving documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in support of internal controls, audit readiness, and applicable logistics or manufacturing requirements.
