The Analyst, Claims will be responsible for understanding and qualifying the type of claims filed; investigating and analyzing cargo claims for loss, damage and delays to determine company liability and costs for damage or loss while protecting company and customer interests. This role involves understanding and interpreting legal limits of liability as stipulated in the contracts and applicable governing publications such as the National Motor Freight Classification, and negotiating cargo liability. The analyst will collaborate with Sales, Pricing, Operations and customers regarding disposition of claims, compose professional claims correspondence, and manage claims inventory to meet individual, team and company goals. The position also requires processing claims according to company policies and procedures, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and providing claim prevention techniques and tips to the field.
