The Analyst, Cash Reconciliation is responsible for all aspects of the cash reconciliation process, including the Sub-Ledger to General Ledger (‘GL’) to Bank reconciliation and the resolution of open items. This involves producing balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries as needed. The role requires preparing monthly reconciliation packages detailing GL Balance, Bank Balance, and Open Items, and actively working on cash reconciliations. The analyst will analyze open items and their ageing to facilitate resolution, review results from the OneStream auto-match tool, and perform manual matching. A key part of the role is to ensure a high auto-matching rate and suggest improvements to the auto-match rules. The position involves cross-functional liaison with internal and external parties for resolving open items, preparing journal entries for review, and assisting with documentation of financial processes and procedures related to cash reconciliation. Daily activities include Positive Pay/Daily Pay Reject for cheques after necessary validations. Additional duties may be assigned.
