National Grid is hiring an Analyst for our Capital Planning / Resource Management department. This hybrid role is based in Waltham, MA. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of analytical experience required
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, especially Power BI, Excel, and SQL required
  • Exposure in applying AI and machine learning concepts or tools, within a business setting required
  • Valid driver’s license required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field and 1+ years of analytical experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Python or other data analysis tools preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Azure services preferred
  • Experience working with business systems such as SAP or Maximo preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and apply AI, Copilot, and Azure-based tools to identify opportunities to automate work and reduce manual effort
  • Build and maintain dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions (primarily in Power BI) to support the MA Gas Business
  • Design and implement automation workflows, apps, and agent-based solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio)
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify needs, and deliver solutions that improve usability and decision-making
  • Own end-to-end delivery of solutions, including development, testing, documentation, and ongoing support
  • Continuously improve existing reports, automations, and tools based on feedback, adoption, and changing business needs
  • Contribute to project planning and delivery, working within Agile or structured team processes as needed
