About The Position

The Asset Management Financial Analyst produces critical reports summarizing the company’s portfolio and analyzes its performance across various metrics. This position requires periodic travel for meetings and property visits.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
3+ years in a financial analyst or accounting role.
Ability to use thoughtful analysis to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Proficiency with standard financial conventions (e.g., net present values, internal rates of return, capitalization rates, etc.)
Strong financial acumen, including problem-solving, critical thinking and the analytical skills required to assess operations and initiate changes to improve property performance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software programs.
Strong communications skills and the ability to effectively present information to operations and asset management teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize based on company needs.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
Willingness and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Review and approve draft budgets and long-term capital plans with respect to recurring and non-recurring capital projects, including development, expansion and major upgrade projects.
Complete detailed pro-forma models for capital allocation and investment opportunities.
Analyze complex data sets, summarize salient information and formulate recommendations.
Present capital investment recommendations, performance analysis and data on key operational performance indicators.
Provide ongoing support for acquisition underwriting and due diligence.
Oversee the development of the company’s capital project software systems.
Produce reports summarizing net present values, internal rates of return, payback periods, discount rates, terminal values and capitalization rates.
