About The Position

The position is for an analyst/associate in the Software Equity Research team. Experience in sell-side research or similar is preferred but not a requirement. The candidate should possess familiarity with financial statements and have a passion for following the stock market. The candidate will work alongside Senior Analysts and Associates in all aspects of the research process, from idea generation to corporate and client communication, including but not limited to the following: Write industry and company reports and company stock coverage initiations Build financial models including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements to provide a quantitative basis for analyzing stock valuations Demonstrate industry knowledge Build relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companies Seek out new, value-added and/or unusual sources of information Have ability to monitor news flow, analyze data and highlight stock-impacting updates when Senior Analyst is traveling Develop surveys and conduct interviews to understand new product/service potential, market dynamics, and current and future product/service demand Interact regularly with sales, trading and external clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Strong writing and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with financial statements
  • Passion for following the stock market

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in sell-side research or similar
  • Advanced degree or industry experience
  • Experience in equity research, buy side experience, investment banking or industry/consulting experience
