About The Position

SLC Management is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Specialist / Analyst to join their Asset Servicing team within Investment Operations. This role provides critical operational support for investment activities across multiple asset classes, ensuring accuracy, control, and timely execution of servicing processes. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a passion for developing a career in investment operations. This position offers exposure to trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and cash forecasting, with direct opportunities to build subject matter expertise and grow within the Asset Servicing function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in investment operations, asset servicing, or financial administration preferred (internship experience considered).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and exposure to investment systems (e.g., PAM, Aladdin, EFront) considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, high-performing operations team.
  • Successful candidates will be required to declare personal investment accounts and securities investments as well as seek preclearance on future transactions including those of household members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily asset servicing functions including trade capture, settlements, income collection, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of cash movements, factor updates, and lifecycle events within internal systems (e.g., PAM, Aladdin, or equivalent).
  • Maintain data integrity across accounting, portfolio management, and custodian systems.
  • Support daily monitoring of operational breaks and assist in issue resolution.
  • Follow established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards.
  • Escalate data discrepancies or operational risks promptly to senior team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and proposing enhancements.
  • Partner with team members across Fixed Income, Mortgage, and Derivative Operations to ensure smooth trade lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Risk, Technology) and external custodians as required.
  • Provide support for month-end and quarter-end deliverables.
  • Develop understanding of various investment products and their servicing requirements.
  • Participate in training sessions, documentation updates, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Demonstrate ownership, curiosity, and accountability in daily responsibilities.
