About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities Serve as a key member of a small, tight-knit team supporting a Senior Executive body for technology protection-related matters. Provide expertise and new ideas to team members and senior Department of War (DoW) leaders in developing and implementing updated strategies to protect critical technology data. Support high-ranking DoW Senior Executives and interact with other DoW Senior Executives, Flag/General Officers, and their support staffs. Analyze and provide recommendations on issues dealing with the full spectrum of DoW technology protection-related matters, from research through capability deployment/employment. Coordinate with technology protection community representatives on issues spanning the full capability lifecycle. Compare, analyze and evaluate the relative merits of program activities and alternatives. Prepare reports and briefs, summarizing formal events and commentary, requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs, systems, and activities. Provide project management and task management expertise to team workflows and topics that are addressed by the Executive body.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance, with a willingness to submit to a polygraph.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience with or real-world exposure to a technology protection-related field or topic, i.e. research security, economic security, cybersecurity, SCRM, industrial base protection, etc.
  • Experience with DoW or federal government bureaucratic processes.
  • Emerging leader with a bias for action and preference for working collaboratively on small, mission-oriented teams.
  • Experience with problem framing on complex technical issues.
  • Experience with project management processes and tools
  • Experience or interest in leveraging AI, preferably with a working knowledge of a relevant programming language (i.e., Python, R, Ruby, Rust, Julia, etc.).
  • Experience in effectively prioritizing personal workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other desktop applications.
