This role involves exercising independent judgment to determine appropriate stock levels by analyzing current business trends and forecasts for each store and product type. The analyst will optimize product orders considering various parameters such as store physical capacity, daily receiving capacity, and distribution centers’ production capacity. They will develop and execute product flow plans, considering distribution schedules, inventory capacity constraints, and sales plans. This position requires close collaboration with Merchandising, Planning, and Store Operations teams to ensure merchandise strategies are executed in a timely manner. Orders will be executed or adjusted based on factors like promotional changes and marketing initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with and influencing multiple stakeholders to execute new style launches as inventory becomes available, conducting in-depth analysis of store activity against strategic plans to identify variances and opportunities, and issuing transfers as needed to capitalize on top sellers or ensure stores have capacity to receive goods. Additionally, the analyst will leverage historic product data and field input to identify store-specific trends and upcoming events influencing allocations, assist in various tasks including store support for special projects, analyze sales to stock ratios for inventory balance, and ensure purchase orders are completely fulfilled and shipped in a timely manner.
